The 2011 ASP World Junior Title Race took an interesting turn in the last couple of days with current ASP World Junior number 1 rated surfer, Davey Cathels (North Narrabeen, NSW/AUS) injuring his right ankle
while performing a reverse at his home break of North Narrabeen.

Hawaiian surfer Garrett Mcnamara has been filmed catching a monster wave estimated at 90ft (28m) possibly the biggest ever wave ridden so far. The wave was ridden as part of the ZON North Canyon Project at the Nazarre Canyon near Praia do Norte off the Portuguese coast. This project is undertaken by the Portuguese as a way of promotiong the region as a big wave surfing destination. The Canyon itself is a gap in the continental plates with an approximate size of 170 Km in length and 5km depth.

This fun clip shows off the excellent long right hand sections of Catherdral Rocks South West of Torquay in Bass Strait Victoria. These boys obviously had a great time and it's great to see Aussies enjoying themselves at home. Enjoyable Aussie soundtrack too. Thanks to Dylan Sloane for this one.
