2011 ASP World Junior TourThe 2011 ASP World Junior Tour ended in some very rough conditions at Burleigh Heads, the third and final stop. This was the first year the competition has run at Burleigh Heads, previously held at North Narrabeen, Sydney, Victoria and Maui.
The 2011 champions are Caio Ibelli from Brazil and Leila Hurst from Hawaii.

90 footerPossibly the biggest rideHawaiian surfer Garrett Mcnamara has been filmed catching a monster wave estimated at 90ft (28m) possibly the biggest ever wave ridden so far. The wave was ridden as part of the ZON North Canyon Project at the Nazarre Canyon near Praia do Norte off the Portuguese coast. This project is undertaken by the Portuguese as a way of promotiong the region as a big wave surfing destination. The Canyon itself is a gap in the continental plates with an approximate size of 170 Km in length and 5km depth.

Dane Reynolds Wildcard For QS ProDane Reynolds, 26, may have failed to requalify for the ASP World Tour in 2012 but spectators will still get to enjoy his extraordinary talents when he lines up as a wildcard for the opening event of the ASP World Title season, the Quiksilver Pro presented by Land Rover, starting on the Gold Coast from 25th February.
